Social Security is one of the most popular federal programs. It provides American workers with retirement, disability, and survivor’s benefits – among others. 66 million adults and children depend on Social Security for financial stability. We hear a lot of information — and misinformation — about Social Security. Sometimes it’s hard to separate fact from fiction. “Social Security: Here Today, Here Tomorrow” is a public education campaign to help Americans better understand this vital program. We are holding a series of town halls across the country, sponsored by AARP, between June and November, 2023. You can attend in person or watch live video streams — and get answers to your Social Security questions from a panel of VIP experts. Special guests include Former Social Security Commissioner Carolyn Colvin.
